Ibrahim Ladan Receives Ecowas Youth Ambassadorship and Nelson Mandela Leadership Award

Renewable Energy Consultant Ibrahim Ladan, Chairman of Fifth Energy Consultants, has been honored with the appointment as an Ecowas Youth Ambassador. The West African Youth Council, part of the regional body, will bestow upon him the prestigious Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity.

Ladan's commitment to renewable energy and youth empowerment earned him this recognition. Leading Fifth Energy Consultants, he aims to train 5 million youths in solar installation and entrepreneurship while providing affordable solar systems to 25 million households and businesses in Nigeria.

The announcement came through a nomination letter signed by Ambassador Emmanuel S William, the President/Chairperson of the West Africa Youth Council (WAYC), highlighting Ladan's significant contributions to youth growth and national development.

"We write to congratulate you on your accomplishments as an inspiring and promising young personality, a distinguished achiever, and a focused leader with a passion for entrepreneurship and solar electrification," the letter states.

Having already trained over 2,500 youths and installed 168 solar systems within a year, Ladan showcases a strong commitment to fostering youth development and sustainable energy solutions.

The West African Youth Council (WAYC), established in 2014 as a youth arm of the ECOWAS Commission, addresses challenges faced by youths across 15 countries, promoting regional economic cooperation and integration.

The Board of Trustees of G7 Group Nigeria congratulated Ladan on his appointment, expressing support and prayers for his continued success. Ibrahim Ladan's recognition underscores his exemplary leadership and dedication to youth empowerment and sustainable energy initiatives.
